FEC

On May 14, FEC President Ken Matsuzawa and Senior Managing Director Hiroyuki Yushita hosted a breakfast meeting at the Hotel New Otani Tokyo for Dr. Paul Oquist, Minister and Private Secretary for National policies of President Daniel Ortega of the Republic of Nicaragua. H.E. Mr. Saul ARANA Castellon, Ambassador of Nicaragua also　attended the meeting. Dr.Oquist visited Japan to introduce the Nicaragua Canal Project, linking the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean, to Japanese companies in order to promote Japanese investments.

Dr.Oquist explained the concept and advantages of the Canal Project, expecting Japanese cooperation on earthquake and typhoon-related infrastructure technology and human-resources development. Mr. Matsuzawa responded that he would keep in touch with them since the Canal Project possibly have relations with FEC and FEC members.
