UPDATE: Jan 15, 2014
On December 13, FEC Chairman Dr. Chihiro Kanagawa ( Chairman of the Board of Shin-Etsu Chemical Co., Ltd ) and other FEC senior executives paid a courtesy visit to H. E. Mr. Nguyen Tan Dung, Prime Minister of Viet Nam at the Imperial Hotel Tokyo during his stay in Japan for attending the ASEAN-Japan Commemorative Summit Meeting.
Prime Minister Dung appreciated their visit and said that he was happy to meet them this year of the 40th diplomatic anniversary of Japan–Viet Nam ,and he expressed his expectation on FEC’s continuous cooperation with Viet Nam, since the bilateral relations between the two countries have been enhanced after Prime Minister Abe’s visit to Viet Nam.
Chairman Kanagawa expressed his appreciation of the meeting in spite of the Prime Minister’s tight schedule. He then thanked Viet Nam’s warm welcome and cooperation extended to the FEC’s delegation in November when the members met and had fruitful exchanges of views with H. E. President Sang and many high-ranking government and local communist party officials. After reporting the result of the FEC mission, Mr. Kanagawa also conveyed to Prime Minister Dung about his appreciation of the on-going good relationship between Viet Nam Embassy and FEC.
FEC continuously held the meeting with Prime Minister Dung in Tokyo for three years , therefore they talked in a very cozy and friendly atmosphere. In closing the meeting Chairman Kanagawa said Xin cám ơn (thank you in Vietnamese) and big applause arose from all the attendents. Then he handed a souvenir to Prime Minister Dung.
