FEC Executive Luncheon Meeting in honor of H. E. Mr. Christian Masset, Ambassador of France

“The 113th European Study Meeting” was held on the topic of “The Current and Prospective Situation of France – Japan relations after the French presidential election”.
Mr.Hollande, elected in the French presidential election of the previous day, aims to balance economic growth policy and restrained fiscal policy. He also intends to seek re-negotiation of new EU fiscal treaty.
Mr. Hiromichi Fujita, Chairman of FEC Japan-Europe Cultural and Economic Exchange Committee, Executive Advisor and Former Chairman of Toppan Printing Co., Ltd said in his greeting remarks that “In the France-Japan relations, trade and cultural exchanges have been active. There is room for nuclear power cooperation. We would like to hear the views of you about the future of France and the EU, and the Japan-France relations.”
H. E. Mr. Christian Masset, Ambassador of France stated a frank opinion about the forthcoming political calendar, the manifest of President-elect Hollande, the relations with EU and Japan.After the lecture, We made a lively exchange of ideas and questions about the growth strategy, the budget deficit, the intellectual property rights issues and the immigration policy, and so on.
