“The 3rd Mongolia Study Meeting” was held on the topic of “Prospects of Mongolia-Japan Relations after Mongolia’s presidential election”.

Mongolia is blessed with abundant mineral resources and is important for Japan as a stable supply place of resources and energy. In the presidential election in June, President Elbegdorj won a second term and much more economic development is expected. Mr.Naohiko Ito, Chairman of FEC Japan- Mongolia Cultural and Economic Exchange Committee, Corporate Advisor of Japan Freight Railway Co.,Ltd. said in his greeting remark that “FEC will dispatch the 3rd FEC mission to Mongolia in July. Professor Okada wrote Genghis Khan to be the Providence of world rule and a moment of world history birth. President Elbegdorj said in his  speech in the Japanese Diet that  Mongolian people has a special relation with Japanese people like brother.” H. E. Mr. Sodovjamts Khurelbaatar, Ambassador of Mongolia talked about the presidential election, summit meetings and economic relations between the two countries. After the lecture, we enjoyed a lively exchange of views about people exchange, vocational training, foreign investment and resources development and so on.
