We dispatched the 19th FEC European Delegation headed by Mr. Hiroshi Saito, Vice Chair an of FEC, Honorary Advisor of Mizuho Financial Group, Inc from October 31 to November 8. They visited Turkey which is growing steadily under Prime minister Erdogan and Italy where Mario Monti leads a government of unelected technocrats and tackles fiscal reform and competitiveness strengthening measures. At the meetings the Mission exchanged a wide range of views including economic and financial policy, cultural exchange and social security issue.

〈1st Nov.〉　AM＝Meeting with Deputy Undersecretary, Mr. Cemalettin Damlaci.
PM＝Meeting with Deputy Minister of Health, Mr. AgahKafkas. Meeting with Vice Minister of Finance, Mr.TanelArbal. Dinner hosted by H. E. Mr. Kiyoshi Araki, Ambassador of Japan to Turkey.
〈2nd〉　AM＝Meeting with Vice President of Investment Support and Promotion Agency, Mr. Mustafa Rueli. Meeting with Mr. Safak Gokturk, Director General for Policy Planning, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
PM＝Move to Cappadocia.
〈3rd〉　AM＝Sightseeing
PM＝Depart from Cappadocia for Istanbul.
〈4th〉　PM＝Dinner hosted by Mr. Keiji Fukuda, Consul General of Istanbul.
〈5th〉　AM＝Depart from Istanbul for Rome.
PM＝Lunch hosted by H. E. Mr. Masaharu Kono, Ambassador of Japan to Itary. Meeting with Diplomatic Advisor to the President, Mr. Stefano Stefanini.
〈6th〉　PM＝Meeting with Diplomatic Advisor of Ministry of Economic Development, Mr. Daniele Mancini.
〈7th〉　AM＝Meeting with Ambassador Maurizio Melani, Director General, General Directorate for the Country Promotion (economy, culture and science), Ministry of Foreign Affairs
PM＝Meeting with Dr. Fabrizio Saccomanni, Director General, Bank of Italy. Depart from Rome for Narita (by way of Munich).
〈8th〉　PM＝Arrive at Narita.
