On May 12, FEC held Executive Meeting (Business Forum) at the Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines in Tokyo, courtesy of H.E. Jose C. Laurel V, Ambassador of the Republic of the Philippines to Japan. At the outset, Mr. Etsuhiro Takato, Chairman of the FEC-Japan ASEAN Culture and Economy Committee (Director, Ajinomoto Co., Ltd.), on behalf of the Committee, made a welcome speech, saying that Japan and the Philippines have established friendly relations and deep ties in a wide range of fields, and that he felt mutual understanding would continue to be important in the future. Following Ambassador’s welcoming remarks, Chief Commercial Counselor Dita Angara Masay delivered a speech on the theme of “Investment Opportunities in the Philippines for Japanese Companies.”
