On June 19, FEC held an Executive Luncheon Meeting at the Turkish Embassy thanks to the kindness of H.E. Dr. Hasan Murat Mercan, Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey. The meeting was held on the theme of “Current situation of Turkey and future prospects of Japan-Turkey relations”.After enjoying the Turkish cuisine prepared by the Embassy, Mr. Hiroshi Saito, Chairman of FEC Japan-Middle East Cultural and Economic Exchange Committee,Honorary Advisor of Mizuho Financial Group, Inc., made a welcome remark and said, “I felt the depth when I enjoyed Turkish cuisine, one of the world’s three great dishes. I visited Turkey in 2012 as the leader of the FEC Delegation. The Delegation met many politicians and business leaders, and got many successful results. I think that companies planning to invest in Turkey are interested in President Erdogan’s policies. I am looking forward to hearing frank speech fromAmbassador Mercan.” Then Ambassador Mercan made a speech on Current situation of Turkey and future prospects of Japan-Turkey relations.
