FEC sent the 5th FEC Delegation to Mongolia from May 13 for 6 days. The delegation, consisting of 8 FEC members, was led by Mr. Naohiko Ito, Vice Chairman of FEC, Chairman of FEC Japan-Mongolia Cultural and Economic Exchange Committee (Honorary Senior Adviser of Japan Freight Railway Co., Ltd.), andMr. Takuo Kidokoro, Advisor of FEC Japan-Mongolia Cultural and Economic Exchange Committee, (Designated Professor of Nagoya University, Former Ambassador to Mongolia) joined as Sub-Leader. The Delegation visited Ulaanbaatar.
Prior to departure, the FEC Delegation had a chance to get a briefing from senior officers of Japanese MOFA on the latest information about Mongolia.
During the stay in Ulaanbaatar, the Delegation had meetings with Mr. Damdin Tsogtbaatar, Minister for Foreign Affairs , Mr. Khavdislam Badyelkhan, Minister for Construction and Urban Development, Mr. Jadamba Bat-Erdene, Minister for Road and Transport, Mr. Dolgorsuren Sumiyabazar, Minister for Mining and Heavy Industry, Mr. Sundui Batbold, Mayor of Ulaanbaatar, and Mr. Banzragch Bayarsaikhan, Director General for National Development Agency, and others. It was a meaningful opportunity for the members to deepen their understanding about the current situation of Mongolia.

〈13th May〉Depart from Narita for Ulaanbaatar / Arrive at Ulaanbaatar
〈14th May〉Visit to the Monnaran photovoltaic power plant. Visit to the Japanese cemetery in Dambadarjaa. Briefing by the Embassy of Japan. Welcoming dinner hosted by the Embassy of Japan.
〈15th May〉Visit to the Monnaran foundation for science and technology Meeting with Ms. Batmunkh Battsetseg, Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs. Meeting with Mr. Damdin Tsogtbaatar, Minister for Foreign Affairs. Lunch with Ms.E.Sarantogos, Director, Department of Asia and Pacific. Meeting with Mr. Dolgorsuren Sumiyabazar, Minister for Mining and Heavy Industry. Meeting with Mr. Jadamba Bat-Erdene, Minister for Road and Transport.
〈16th May〉Visit to the New Mongol Academy. Lunch hosted by Dr. Damdin Enkhjargal, Director, the Monnaran foundation for science and technology. Visit to the GOBI Corporation.
〈17th May〉Meeting with H. E. Mr. Khavdislam Badyelkhan, Minister for Construction and Urban Development. Meeting with H. E. Mr. Sundui Batbold, Mayor of Ulaanbaatar. Meeting with H. E. Mr. Banzragch Bayarsaikhan, Director General for National Development Agency.
Dinner with representatives of Japanese companies in Mongolia and others.
