FEC hosted a welcoming breakfast meeting for H. E. Mr. Damdin Tsogtbaatar, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia at the Hotel New Otani Tokyo on February 22. From Mongolia side, 6 people attended including Mr. Dambadarjaa Batjargal, Charge d’affaires, Embassy of Mongolia in Japan, and Mr. Banzragch Bayarsaikhan, Director, National Development Agency. From FEC side, 14 people attended including FEC President Ken Matsuzawa,Mr. Naohiko Ito, Chairman of FEC Japan-Mongolia Cultural and Economic Exchange Committee, Honorary Advisor, Japan Freight Railway Company, and Mr. Takuo Kidokoro, Advisor of FEC Japan-Mongolia Cultural and Economic Exchange Committee, Designated Professor of Nagoya University, Former Ambassador to Mongolia.
FEC President Ken Matsuzawa made a welcome remark and said, “Last year, Mongolian people elected Mr.Battulga as President and Mr.Khurelsukh as Prime Minister. Mongolia has entered a new era.The relationship between Japan and Mongolia has developed steadily with the progress of democratization in your country and we are confident that strategic partnership will further deepen the relationship. “.
Foreign Affairs Minister Tsogtbaatar said, “I would like to thank you for organizing a breakfast meeting this morning. I hope the relationship not only between Mongolia and Japan, but also between Mongolia and FEC will further develop.” At the breakfast meeting, a meaningful discussion was held with the exchange of opinions on such topics as infrastructure conditions of domestic railroads, human resources development and so on.
After breakfast talks, the participants took a commemorative group photo, and exchanged business cards among attendees including Foreign Affairs Minister Tsogtbaatar.
