FEC invited H. E. Mr. Evgeny Vladimirovich Afanasiev, Ambassador of the Russian Federation, to an Executive Luncheon Meeting at Imperial Hotel Tokyo on February 20. The meeting was held on the theme of “Future Prospects of Russia-Japan Relationship after the Visit of President Vladimir Putin to Japan”. After having lunch together in a cordial atmosphere, Mr. Yoshinari Hara, Vice Chairman of FEC Japan-Russia Cultural and Economic Exchange Committee, Chief Corporate Advisor and Former Chairman, Daiwa Securities Group Inc. made a welcome remark and said, “Toward the end of last year, President Putin visited Japan after 11 years interval, and a friendly summit meeting was held at Prime Minister Abe’s hometown. I firmly believe that the relationship between Japan and Russia has greatly progressed.” Ambassador Afanasiev made a speech followed by active Q&As.
