FEC invited H. E. Mr. Thurain Thant Zin, Ambassador of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, to an Executive Luncheon Meeting at the Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo on February 6. The meeting was held on the theme of “Current situation of Myanmar under the new government”. Mr. Norio Yamaguchi, Chairman of FEC Japan-ASEAN Cultural and Economic Exchange Committee, Senior Corporate Advisor of AJINOMOTO Co., Inc. made a welcome remark and said, “ FEC sends a Delegation to the ASEAN region every year, and this year, we plan to visit Myanmar from February 19. I would like to express our appreciation to Ambassador Thurain Thant Zin’s kind cooperation for this delegation. Today we look forward to hearing Ambassador Thurain Thant Zin’s views on the achievements and agendas of the new Government.” Ambassador Thurain Thant Zin made a speech focusing on the development of political and economic situation in Myanmar, and investment opportunities for Japanese corporations.
