FEC hosted a welcome luncheon meeting for H.E. Dr. Paul Oquist, Minister and Private Secretary for National Policies of President Daniel Ortega Saavedra at the Imperial Hotel Tokyo on March 15. Dr. Paul Oquist visited Japan for promoting Japanese investment in Nicaragua in the field of canals, railways, bridges and disaster prevention. From Nicaragua side H.E. Mr. Saul Arana Castellon, Ambassador of Nicaragua and Mr. Humberto Gonzalez attended. FEC President Matsuzawa made a welcome remark and said, “I am glad to meet you again after two years. I look forward to exchange of views with you on growing Nicaragua.” Dr. Paul Oquist appreciated the invitation to the luncheon meeting, and made a detailed speech on the investment environment in Nicaragua. There were active Q＆As on topics including the grand interoceanic canal project.
