FEC invited H. E. Ms. Chea Kimtha, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Cambodia to an Executive Luncheon Meeting at the Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo on February 18. The meeting was held on the theme of “Current Status of Cambodia and Future Prospects of Cambodia-Japan Relationship”. Mr. Norio Yamaguchi, Vice Chairman of FEC and Chairman of FEC Japan-ASEAN Cultural and Economic Exchange Committee, Senior Corporate Advisor of AJINOMOTO Co., Inc. made a welcome remark and said, “First of all, I would like to express thanks to Ambassador Chea Kimtha for your warm support on the forthcoming FEC Delegation to ASEAN. Especially, I would like to thank you for arranging the meetings with Prime Minister Hun Sen and other high ranking government officials. Cambodia continues to record more than 7 % annual economic growth rate, therefore Cambodia’s Rectangular Strategy seems to go well underway. We hear that the logistic environment in the Southern Economic Corridor has improved. The ASEAN Economic Community has just started. Today we look forward to hearing Ambassador Chea Kimtha’s views on the Rectangular Strategy and the Cambodia-Japan relations. Ambassador Chea Kimtha made a speech focusing on the Cambodia-Japan relations, political and economic situation and investment environment of Cambodia.
