FEC invited H.E. Mr. Nguyen Quoc Cuong, Ambassador of Vietnam, to an Executive Luncheon Meeting at the Hotel Chinzanso Tokyo on October 23. The meeting was held on the theme of “Current status of Vietnam and future prospects of Vietnam-Japan relationship”.

Yoshihiko Nakagaki, Vice Chairman of FEC, Chairman of FEC Japan-Viet Nam Cultural and Economic Exchange Committee, Honorary Counselor and Former President of Electric Power Development Co., Ltd. (J-Power) said in his welcome speech, ” I will visit Vietnam in November as head of the FEC Delegation. Whenever I visit your country, I really feel Vietnam becomes appropriate partner of Japan. Both countries participate in the TPP and 2015 is a milestone year, the ASEAN Economic Community, of which Vietnam is a member, will be launched. We would like to ask Ambassador Cuong’s advice and support for further enhancement of our bilateral relations. I firmly believe that deepening our relations will contribute to the growth of Asian coutries as a whole and building the basis of peace.”

Ambassador Cuong made a speech, focusing on various topics including business environment, external relations and priority sectors of economic cooperation. After his speech, Dr. Ba, Counsellor, Head of Investment Promotion Section, Embassy of Vietnam, made a supplementary explanation on investment environment in Vietnam. There were active Q&As.
