FEC invited H. E. Mr. Sodovjamts Khurelbaatar, Ambassador of Mongolia to an Executive Luncheon Meeting at the Hotel New Otani Tokyo on October 19. The meeting was held on the theme of “Current situation and future prospects of Mongolia -Japan relationship”. Mr. Naohiko Ito, Chairman of FEC Japan-Mongolia Cultural and Economic Exchange Committee (Corporate Adviser of Japan Freight Railway Co., Ltd.) said in his welcome speech, “ Since I assumed the Chairman of FEC Japan-Mongolia Cultural and Economic Exchange Committee four years ago, I met with AmbassadorSodovjamts many times, visited your country as the head of FEC Delegation and kept studying about Mongolia through reading related books. I feel that Mongolia has become a very familiar country. Yesterday, I read a newspaper article on Mongolia–Japan EPA agreement, feeling that Mongolia is most intimately close country. I look forward to hearing a frank speech and active questions and answers today.”

Ambassador Sodovjamts made a speech, focusing on various topics including the current status of Mongolia’s democratization for 25 years, bilateral cooperative relationship and expectations for Japan. After his speech, there were frank Q&As in a cordial environment.
