FEC invited H. E. Mr. Gursel Qudrat oglu Ismayilzada, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan to an Executive Luncheon Meeting at the Hotel New Otani Tokyo on June 19.  FEC President Matsuzawa said in his welcome speech,  ” I would like to thank Ambassodor Ismayilzada for coming to this Luncheon Meeting today despite your very tight schedule. In October last year, I made my first visit to Azerbaijan by invitation of its Government, and attended the Baku International Humanitarian Forum which was sponsored by the Government.  I had an intimate feeling with the Azerbaijani people for their diligent and high moral character. Azerbaijan is a wonderful country and I want to visit there many times from now. I’m looking forward to Ambassador Ismayilzada’s speech today.”

In response, Ambassador Ismayilzada expressed his gratitude for the invitation to the meeting, and made a speech in fluent Japanese on the theme of  “Current situation of Azerbaijan and the prospects of Japan-Azerbaijan relations. ”followed by active Q&As.
