FEC

FEC sent the 17^th FEC Delegation to ASEAN visiting Indonesia and the Philippines from 15th March for 7days. The delegation, headed by Mr. Norio Yamaguchi, Chairman of FEC Japan-ASEAN Cultural and Economic Exchange Committee (Chairman of the Board of AJINOMOTO Co., Inc.) consisted of 16 FEC members. The delegation visited Jakarta and Manila.

In Indonesia, the Delegation met high-ranking government officials including H. E. Mr. Rachmat Gobel, Minister of Trade, and had various fruitful exchanges of views with them. They also visited Sunter 1 Plant of PT. Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indonesia. It was a meaningful opportunity for the members to understand the current status of investment environment.

They moved to Manila and paid a courtesy call on H. E. Mr. Jejomar C. Binay, Vice President, and had meetings with other high-ranking government officials including H. E. Mr. Gregory L. Domingo, Secretary of Trade and Industry. It was also a meaningful opportunity for the members to exchange views frankly on how to expand our bilateral relationship in a wide range of areas.
