FEC hosted a welcome dinner for the delegation of Provincial Governors of Mongolia at the Hotel New Otani Tokyo on January 26. The delegation,headed by Mr. P. Gankhuyag, Governor of Dornogovi Province, visited Japan to get information and study about Prime Minister Abe’s new policy  “ Vitalizing local economy in Japan” as an important agendum. From Mongolia side 23 people of 20 out of the 21 provinces attended, including Ambassador Khurelbaatar,Governor Gankhuyag of Dornogovi Province and Governor Batsuuri,of Sukhbaatar Province. From FEC side 17 people attended including President Matsuzawa, Mr. Ito, Chairman of FEC Japan-Mongolia Cultural and Economic Exchange Committee and Mr. Kidokoro, former ambassador of Japan to Mongolia.

Mongolian delegation appealed features of each prefecture and talked about the relationship with Japan’s local governments. Japanese participants introduced the progress of their business in Mongolia, and they exchanged views including prospects of Japan- Mongolia cooperation in a friendly atmosphere.After the dinner, souvenirs were exchanged and commemorative photograph taking followed. The meeting was closed with one tightening of all participants.
