The 9th FEC Delegation to India

FEC sent the 9th FEC Delegation to India from 2nd to 10th December 2014. The delegation, headed by Mr.Kenichi Watanabe, Chairman of FEC Japan-India Cultural and Economic Exchange Committee, Senior Advisor to the Board, Nomura Holdings, Inc., consisted of 13 FEC members. The Delegation visited Delhi, Chennai and Goa.
In Delhi, They had various fruitful exchanges of views with H.E.Mr. Suresh Prabhu, Minister of Railways, H.E.Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State for Prime Minister’s Office, H. E. Mr. Kiren Rijiju, Minister of State for Home Affairs, and other high-ranking government officials.
In Chennai, They had a meeting with members of ASSOCHAM.
The members also enjoyed sightseeing of world heritage sites, Churches and Convents of Goa.

PM= Meeting with H.E.Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State for Prime Minister’s Office. Meeting with Mr. Amitabh Kant, Secretary of Ministry of Commerce & Industry. Meeting with Mr. V. S. Oberoi, Secretary of Ministry of Woman & Child Development. Meeting with Mr. Rajiv Mehrishi, Secretary of Ministry of Finance.

PM=Meeting with H. E. Mr. Kiren Rijiju, Minister of State for Home Affairs. Meeting with Mr. Rahul Sharma, Chairman of ASSOCHAM. Dinner hosted by Mr. Takeshi Yagi, Ambassador of Japan to India.
〈6th〉AM=Depart from Delhi for Goa. PM= Sightseeing at Goa. Dinner hosted by Mr. Kenichi Watanabe, Leader of the delegation.
〈7th〉AM=Sightseeing at Goa.
PM=Depart from Goa for Chennai.
〈8th〉PM=Meeting with H. E. Mr. P .Thangamani, Minister of Industry, Government of the State of Tamil Nadu.
PM=Sightseeing at Chennai. Dinner hosted by Mr. Masanori Nakano, Consul General, Consulate General of Japan in Chennai.
